The Ministry of Imagination is made up of Florian de Visser (designer), Jan David Hanrath (architect), and Rob Bruijnzeels (librarian). Their complementary expertise helps us create new forms of library work through processes, buildings, and design.
Jan David Hanrath
Jan David was trained as an architect at TU Delft.
After working in various positions within the library sector in the Netherlands, Jan David founded hanratharchitect in 2004. A firm specialized in library construction and design.
He knows the internal library processes, and because he worked as a program manager at bibliotheek.nl, he can connect physical and digital aspects really well.
